Pan Peninsula Private Cinema
The Pan Peninsula development presented a unique opportunity for CSS to show it skills in the specific area of cinema design and installation, with the added requirement of a high commitment to support and service.
The brief was to provide a substantial communal cinema facility for the residents of this exclusive London Docklands development. The system had to be of high quality, durability and also be simple to operate as it was intended for almost constant use for a variety of purposes including private hire, and regular social events such as live sports screenings and gatherings of film enthusiasts.
CSS worked carefully with the construction company and designers to produce a stunning installation that has received worldwide press attention. Attention to detail by intelligent construction and acoustic details is married with products that perform to the highest standards even with high use. Full DSP processing has been employed to counter the difficult shape of the room itself.
Runco projection was married to Krell electronics and Procella loudspeakers, controlled by a Crestron wall mounted touch panel. Used daily since installation it has proven a huge success.
